Awwww... MC's... I thoroughly have missed your pessimistic and "the glass is half empty" views (not)

This is a wonderful story and I'm sure God brought Faith into the world to teach us humans something. IF her hips start giving out, then maybe she needs to be put down at that point. I'm sure God is looking over her and giving her massive strength in her back legs to carry her weight upright and compensate for her disability. You must have "faith" in the situation...

p.s. like a cart in front wouldn't give her any joint problems, either...

Thank you very much, I had never seen one and was just wondering what they looked like. Now I know!

manchester it really does help when you know what you are talking about..sigh
i will bet that anyone that has gone thru 8 or 9 years of college where they have had teachers..and hands on experience knows more then me..and i spent quite a bit of time in my growing up on the elbow of my vet that let me watch....i would never ever pretend to know what they know..but that is JUST MY OPINION..secondly..faith has had a movie contract..i am sure she has her own bank account..i doubt that the dog has need for a single solitary thing..wouldn't it be nice if our handicapped society could have movie contracts to help pay for their needs...anyway i can only go by what i have read.

What vetting? I give my shots, clean the teeth, cut the nails, use Ivomec for worms.......so there is no vetting left to be done!!!

We don't exploit our handicapped society like these people are exploiting this poor dog.

And.........as far as vets having hands on experience......the vets I have frequented have learned as much from me as I have ever learned from them!!!!!! And the vets today are pathetic. Many can't even read xrays, lol. And considering that I had about 20 years of vet training, I DO know what I am talking about. You should not judge others qualifications by your own.

And of course being in nursing, I know a little about the various sytems of the body....and the doggies and us'ins function the same. Of course, you must also consider my crappy luck over the years. I have a dog with a menengocele........the first several of the vets around here have ever seen.

When I DO got to the vet, I tell HIM what I need done, and he does it. Pretty much the same when we go to the human doctor. As I said, we are supposed to educate ourselves, both for our benefit as well as our dogs.

And I would appreciate if you reserved the "Talking down" to those dumber than yourself. You have no idea what you are talking about, and I do not appreciate your judging my abilities by your own lack of ability. You can check with Old Dog about how much I know compared to any vets around here. She was also in nursing, and was a vet assistant for 10 years or so, and has had the advantage of seeing what I do or do not know.

must be some really awful vets you go to..and if your dogs get say cancer..they must die a pretty uncomforable death if you feel you can do it all.. you let nature takes its course?..maybe you do..that is a miserable way to die..at least it is for the people i took care of..since society doesn't give them the same saving grace..tell me..i am not in a good mood anyway so the answer might be amusing..what would you do if persay...one of your dog's belly has suddenly swollen up 6 times it's normal size..in fact...it makes thier heads look miniscule..
or...your dog coughs..small amounts of mucus..not often, just after he is active..then it starts getting worse within about a 24 hour period..you note a small amount of blood
ooooor...your dog ran into the fence..it has caused a degloving injury..catching it just under the chin and ripping the skin off to the line of the chest...do you do your own sutures too? your dog has been hit by a car..it is sitting straight up in the street...
i am curious..what is your diagnoses...how do you do your primary survey..where do you go to get your supplies..or do you just leave your dog to chance..or let it die of oh say...infection..you test for heartworms all by yourself?
your dog is lathargic..you don't know why..he drinks a great deal of water..but seems to be losing weight..no matter that you are feeding him three times as much as you use to..what would you do? Im all ears.
also i know two facilities of people that wouldn't consider it an exploitation at all to even have a short piece where their determination is celebrated and boost their bank accounts. Bet they would be first in line.

Have you ever heard of FORESIGHT????????? Like with fencing and the like????? I spent $20,000 for double fencing around here. No problems with getting cut. I use Ivomec year around no testing or worry about heartworm. Do you even know anything about Ivomec??? And already had a diabetic dog..........and since I am also diabetic, I tested her blood and shot her just like I do myself. And I am living with Congestive Heart Failure and familiar with abdominal swelling. Ya give Lasix!!!!

Kelly had cancer in everyone of her breasts. She lived comfortably with it for many years, and when SHE was ready I took her in to be peacefully put to sleep.

Trust me, there is nothing you know about dogs that I have not had experience with. Sorry if that aggravates you. Some of us REALLY DO know it all, rofl.

scenerio..old woman has a heart attack..falls on her porch..hitting her head on the railing..makes it inside but doesn't get the door shut..her dogs run out the door afraid..oh my..foresight? You have a fire..you run out..the dogs make it outside with you..the firemen leave the gate open....or gee..foresight ..your generalizations just turn me completely..no one knows it all..not about marraige, or babies, or being a vet..about training..or what people do with their lives when they are not on a 5 sec clip..it is one thing to base an opinion on an experience that you have been thru..it is another to cover something with a blanket statement..vets have come a long way even in the last 10 years..and i for one am grateful that someone would go to the lengths my vets of have done to help me with my animals..i am grateful for what they have taught me..i would stuff a sock in it before i went in and pretended to know a doc's business..if you obviously can tell he can't read an x ray..then you go to another vet until you find one that can.that is your responsiblity as a pet owner. No one can seer into the future and prevent something like the last two scenerios i presented..i could give you a hundred more just as likely to happen. Debate i will..i wasn't inferring to theperson in talking down..tongue in cheek i was referring to the behavior.
you carefully avoided the questions i noticed..
you know it all..what are "diagnoses" two have nothing to do with cancer..or diabetes..or heartworms

Again, we bow down and kiss your feet and thank the dear Lord you have no say in our dog's health. !! You are not giving young owners much help when you say you know more than vets !! I'm glad for your dogs you can check their breathing and hearts, check their blood for heartworm , have a relibable source for needed drugs, etc. etc. As to going in for stitches, why ??? If their fencing is so great, then they must bite each other. Heck, I'd put on some freeze zone, add some antibiotic and stitch it up myself if I were you. Then your only vet bill would be putting them to sleep.....which I'm sure you could do too. Alot of people do it daily . Sorry, but you've gone too far with your mega " I know more than anyone " attitude. Also, since I'm 10 years your senior , respect me for some of my knowledge and experiences.

MC's... once again, rolling on the floor laughing your @$$ off at the world and sneering at every one of us. So sad that you are all alone only with your 4-legged ones that depend on you yet you don't take care of yourself. When your animals are dying or absolutely in need, the vets you take them to must just cringe at your presence. Too bad you've been tainted by "bad vets" or something and don't even take your beloveds to them until they're dying or in absolute need. There are good vets out there, believe it or not. You DO NOT know it all. Quit being so hateful and making like you do...
