I'm jealous of your chickens I'd like a few, and we're allowed them where we live, but I'd worry about the terrier boy eating them. He's already spent all of his 8 years hoping that the parrot will one day fly into his mouth

Plus, a good portion of the backyard is devoted to our tortoise's enclosure, so I'd have nowhere secure for wee chickens to be. I do ogle the babies at the feed store though

you could get a trio of bantams (mini chickens) they only need 2 sqft per bird of inside space and 5sqft per bird outside...
and there super cute.
they lay lots of eggs, there just smaller...

get 3 hens for just eggs or a roo and 2 hens and eat some eggs and hatch the rest to sell

i think bantam cochins are adorable...
see sooo fluffy!

or japanese bantams

or sebrights (they so perdy!)

and theres the ever adorable silkies

though you would have to keep the terrier boy away from the cluck clucks lol

i LOVE bantams, when i get my own place i wanna a a breeding trio of the 4 breeds i just posted.

i think everyone should have many folks can say their pet makes them breakfast? lol

I wonder if other dogs think Cresties are members of some weird religious cult?
