I'm very sorry for your loss, nothing compares to the heartache of losing a pet. Take comfort in knowing that he's not hurting anymore. I know there was absolutely nothing more that you could do for him, so please don't feel any guilt. As told in the "Rainbow Bridge", I truly believe that eventually we will see our beloved pets and they will be waiting for us. What a reunion that will be...

I hadn't looked up your thread until I saw your kind post to Amy and Eli today. By Bubba was found dead , but had no heart problems. Now my Chip ( Bubba's son ) has arrhythmia....he's only 8 . Because of the level, he isn't bad enough for a pacemaker and no meds. but he could drop dead anytime. I had all my goldens checked for any heart defects before breeding. I guess we can only give them a wonderful life in return for the joy they give us. Lord, I wish they'd live until we're gone !!

Yeah I hear what your saying, I didn't find out till Max was about 5 yrs. old I think it was that he had a heart condition. He always seemed fine, but he really didn't eat too much cause guess lost of appetite was part of the symptoms. He seemed fine the night before he died, and it just makes you realize how quick it can happen. Don't think it matters if they are healthy when they're young, cause much like us anything could happen at anytime.

Only thing I wished is Max coulda lived a long life and died of old age, he was way too young to die. I gave him his medicine everyday and never missed a day and I think I done everything I could've for him. Just makes you realize to appreciate everyday your with them and enjoy every minute. But getting Ginger has helped a whole lot, but I will always think of Max each and everyday for the rest of my life. Like it says on his remains... God sent us a angel and that angel was you. He was truly THE best thing to have ever happened to me, even though *clears throat* I tell my girlfriend that she is, but don't tell nobody shhhhh
