I just started dieting and excercising and so far I've lost two pounds in three days. I'm beginning to think I'm losing it too fast. Am I?
My diet consists of: Fruits Veggies Green Tea Water Fish Nuts Fish is the only meat I need to eat. I need to stop sneaking in pork. I eat my biggest meal at breakfast and steady decrease it. Breakfast is huge and balanced, Lunch Moderate, and Dinner small. Ever since I've started this diet, I feel like I have more energy and am tired at night. 2 lbs down, 78 lbs to go! |

Amazon.com: Pillsbury: Fast and Healthy Cookbook: 350 Easy Recipes for Every Day (9780609600856): Pillsbury Company:… It tells you the calories in all the meals and most don't have a TON of ingredients for each recipe. I would get you some recipes out of it, but I was smart and left it at Ryan's in Minnesota ![]() I generally don't like cookbooks because I tend to find like 3 recipes in them and only use them, but I have made probably half of the recipes in that cookbook and with the exception of 1 or 2, would make them all again. ETA: There is also an AMAZING and super super easy fruit tart in that book that I now take to all the parties where you bring a dish and it's always a favorite. ETA v2.0: You can look at the index of the book with a lot of the recipes on that Amazon link. |

Kalyn's Kitchen
This has a bunch of Southbeach recipes. I don't follow the Southbeach diet, but there are lots of yummy things on there. I made tomato and pesto topped Salmon last night for dinner and it was awesome. I think Saga is going to like my new egg white breakfasts....guess who gets the yolks.

Folks... I think I hit it out of the park tonight. AND it was healthy too.
2.5 cups of cherry tomatoes, quartered. (From our garden tonight.) 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely diced. (From our garden tonight) Salt and Pepper to taste 1/8 cup of parsley 3-4 cloves of garlic 1 lb of shrimp Saute everything except shrimp for about 3 minutes. Put on low heat, cover and simemr for about 15 mins. Stir every 3-4 minutes. Turn up heat to 3/4's and add shrimp. Saute for about 4 mins (until shrimp are done.) Serve over rice. It was DANG good. We had that with fresh greeen beans from our garden.

How did my awesome thread end up here?
![]() Can I revive it so as not to throw off other threads? If so... for those of you who eat a lot of veggies, what percentage of your daily intake is veggies? I am trying to get back on the wagon and I know I need a lot more veggies, but I am trying to figure out how much of them I should be eating a day. Shanka
