Default Sadie & Reed!

Last night Sadie FINALLY played with Reed. We've had him for two weeks and she's hated him the whole time. She's not a very dog-social dog, but she has always LOVED puppies. If it's smaller than her, she wants to play with it. But, this was not the case with Reed.

Part of the problem was that when we took her to get him in Kansas, halfway through the 7 hour drive she had major diarhhea. She was upset for days. So I kept them pretty separated until her digestive system was normal again. But the first time she met him she was feeling sick.

Anyway I've been using "look at that" with her on him. He's perfect with her. He doesn't try to pester her at all. If he walks too close and she growls, he backs away and just sits patiently and waits for her to do something.

So last night she was acting really bouncy and happy, so I let her and him out in the bedroom together. At first she just wanted to climb in my boyfriends lap, and she did growl pretty meanly at Reed a few times. But after about 10 minutes, all the sudden she jumps down, bows at Reed and barks!

They started bouncing all over, barking (playfully), bowing, spinning, rolling around and chasing each other. They took equal turns chasing and climbing on each other. It was about the most perfect play session that could have happened.

I was so happy!!! Today we're going to the park so hopefully she will want to play with him more. He of course has been perfect with her the entire time.

YAY REED & SADIE.

I didn't get any pics because I was worried if I moved, they'd stop playing But I'll take the camera to the park today and hopefully they will want to play!!!

Here they are at the park today. She got a little snippy at one of the Great Pyrs but did great otherwise. When we got there it was just us and a husky who stayed on the other side. Then Sadie saw the Aussies coming. She crouched down and waited and then pounced! She likes those aussies! She did amazing today. Only a little barky at the one pyr.

(The people talking in the video are the Aussie and Pyr owners, not me)

They look like they are having a great time. Reed certainly doesn't have a problem with the Great Pyrs
