Question Rookie from Marble Lake - Static help needed!!!

Hi,

I am a newbie here. Need your help. I have 2 Shih Tzu's (Bentley 4 and Gibson 1 1/2). Gibson has the SOFTEST hair, but we are having a huge problem with static in his hair this winter. We have never had this problem with Bentley.

Any ideas? We have a whole house humidifier, but that doesn't seem to be helping him at all.

I have attached a picture of Gibson from last winter.

Please help!!!

That jacket could be part of the problem!! That material is usually a pretty good conductor.

I'd say a good conditioner on the coat (a spray on) might help??

I was just about to say the same thing, Izzy.

Agree on removing the jacket and trying a dog-specific spray-on conditioner. I tend to really like products from here: All Natural Dog Shampoo & Spa Products | Itchy Dry Dog Skin, Arthritis Remedies | Pet Odor Removal | Wholesale Dog Supplies

Thanks so much for the suggestions and links and the picture of the one product. He has outgrown the red coat, but thanks for letting me know that this type could promote static. I won't buy one like that again.

Chewbacca is right on target. He get's that a lot
