I have a pure maltise, which is the mother and the two puppies are mixed maltise and shih tzu, Could you tell me if the pure maltise breed is rare today?
No, maltese are fairly common these days. They've become a favorite for petstores, puppymillers and unethical breeders known as "Back Yard Breeders" (BYB).
Your pups will be cute, but certainly nothing rare or extraordinarily special.
Yah I see alot of malt's. What are rare is the ones that are very well bred from good breeders. Most of them are from BYB breeders that breed health problem prone dogs.
lol...rare...i whent to town today to get groceries..no joke (tiny town) in the space of 10 mins i saw 15 maltese, and about 10 what looked to be maltese mixes...
