Another Dog Lover Joins the Pack
Hey All,
I'm a middle-aged guy who has been raising/training/living with dogs since I got out on my own. My lovely wife and I never got around to having kids so dogs have been an integral part of the "love exchange" in our household. My last three (Gunner the 3 legged Lab, Karl the GSP and Riley, the great bird retriever) have taken the dog/human relationship to higher heights as I worked together with them to find and shoot gamebirds. Gunner and Riley are gone now, and 14-year-old Karl and I are retired from hunting. I began feeling like the killing was unnecessary and Karl...well, all he ever wanted to do was find and point them anyway! I've written some about our hunting escapades and I'm building websites now to promote products that I've reviewed and find to be potentially beneficial to others who enjoy training their own dogs. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience as a member of a man-dog team to aid others in their quest for the perfectly behaved (unlikely!) canine companion. House Training a Dog

Welcome to CHazhound! I always loved hunting dogs and watching them do what they do best but never wanted to shoot a gun. They guys figured out I was willing the geese to go the other way so they stopped taking me to the blind.
 We just hunt training dummies now.
