Default How much exercise?

My dog has high energy level and I play with him for about 30mins to 1 hour.

How often or how much exercise do you do with your dog?

Thanks

During the week, she gets two 30-45 minute walks. We also go to the dog park as often as possible. In the summer, it's usually 90 minutes 4-5 times a week. In the winter (when it's dark so darn early), it's usually only 2-3 times a week (and only until my fingers are about to fall off from cold--usually only 45 minutes!)

We also do agility lessons for an hour each week, and try to get in some training practice daily (failed, lately...)

Finally, she goes to day care and runs around all day once a week.

During the week it is usually an hour a day depending on the light. Recently it has been to dark for more than 20 mins. They are happy enough with that and Fudge (see my siggie) is does 2 hours of agility a week (unless we have a competition) and an hour of obedience.

Mine run and chase in the yard. As it gets very cold I find I need to train them. ( a good thinking training session wears them out just as much as a good 1 hour run)

Oh and they are JRTs, Whippets and a BC so very high energy lol.

We get a 20-30 minute walk in most nights. The boys also go out to the yard several times a day and chase birds or squirrels. We also train for a few minutes 3 or 4 times a day and they wrestle a ton. They aren't overly high energy though (wth? I just said that about Pedro? Never thought I'd see the day LOL!) and are toy dogs so I can play fetch in the house and wear them out if the weather isn't cooperating.

Hi, Petzooply....where are you from? Your dog looks exactly like one of my neighbor's dogs....Are you from the Milwaukee area?

Exercise...Sal is getting older now but we do about an 45-60 minutes of walking twice daily. We also sprinkle in a liberal amount of wrestle time with the local Airedale and ACD.

I am betting a Rottie/APBT mix?

How old? Before they are fully developed you have to be careful with how much and type of exercise.

As much as he wants. Which isn't much at all. He's such a lazy Border Collie.
