Swollen Foot/Pad

Last Sunday Stryder tore off half his nail on his back foot somehow. It seemed to be fine once it stopped bleeding. On Monday he was limping so I gave him an aspirin that night, by Tuesday morning he was fine.

I've noticed the last week days he's been walking a bit weird, not limping but his hind end swinging back and forth a little more than usual. I looked at his nail last nite, it as fine, but I noticed his paw pad (the big *palm* one) feels bigger than the last one, as well as the other ones on his paw. He's also been a little mopey and will go sleep on the couch. He also felt warmer than normal last nite too.

I've got an appointment for him on Tuesday when the pups go for their shots, and hopefully SA meds as well.

**Also today I noticed he had green goop in one of his eyes.. and some more dried around it. Could that be a sign of infection?

I've already told you in chat my theory but I"ll post it here in case anyone else has ideas. The eye infection could be either entirely separate or the result of his probably infected foot scratching his face. Since the pad is larger, it's probably swollen from infection with a possible abscess.

sounds like it might be infected and the eye thing could just be a seperate occurance. Let us know what the vet says and i hope he will be ok soon!
