Default Can anyone help this pittie?

Hey guys,

This dog was dumped in my backyard a few days ago. I found out that she was found abandoned (nobody's looking for her.) and then some neighbors of mine were the ones that put her in my yard. At the moment I have no way of keeping and fostering her, so I called around-- EVERY city AC, every rescue... everybody I know. Nobody would take her.

So I took her back to my neighbor's house and asked them to keep her until I got home from work, which was only about 2 hours. When I got home, they had "taken care of it. They took the dog back to so-and-so's house."

Come 8am, AC is knocking at my door, because the dog was found abandoned in a grocery store parking lot-- she knew I had the dog the day before, because I called her to see if she would take it. She did take the dog back to the shelter, and that's where she is now. I don't consider this a safe place for her.

This poor dog was abandoned three times in one day! She looks to be an older pittie, maybe 6years old. She's been bred, a LOT. Her teeth are ground down from trying to chew through a kennel. She's got what looks to be pressure sores on her, but the shelter is having her examined to make sure it's not mange. She's a wonderful dog, She loves people. I've been told she gets along with other dogs, and she plays with cats.

If anybody can foster or take her, I can transport REALLY far! She's in Southeast Michigan.

I'm allergic to shedding dogs, but I'm happy to bump this. Hope you find someone to take her.

Aw, you can see her tail flutter in the first pic. I hate seeing pits (or any dog) treated like this. That shelter better treat her right. After all that mistreatment, she still loves humans. Hang in there and good luck.
