Hi
I’m a college student and I posted a questionnaire here about a month ago in order to do some research for my product design project. First, I'd like thank all of you who replied. It was really helpful! My goal was to design an organizer for dog(or pet) supplies. Here are some pictures of my final idea. I’m still in the process of improving the design. So I’d definitely appreciate it if you could give me some feedback.(anything you like or dislike, questions, suggestions) Your honest opinion will help me a lot ***9786; so feel free to say anything you want Here’s the link Pet things Organizer - a set on Flickr Thanks |

Fantastic!!! I think it is a super idea and design....a place for everything. I like the idea of a to-go thing too. Is there a place to put loose kibble....like a metal-lined bin section? Or is there not enough room for that? Anyhow, it looks really cool and I bet it would sell. Good luck. You'll have to let us know how it all goes.

I really like the modular idea, mostly because I would want to put a lot of the grooming supplies stuff together into one little box rather than the food and treat storage! I also would need more than one collar & leash stand, LOL... so I would suggest keeping the shelf placement HIGHLY adjustable so somebody could pop in multiple leash stands into one tray. I hope that makes sense.
I'm not totally a fan of the "all in one" travel thing because it doesn't give you any kind of bowl to pour the water or food out into. The water dish is really deep so it can't be used as a bowl itself... as soon as the dog drinks past a certain level it's no longer convenient. How do you get the treats out? You have to unscrew all the stuff apart to get to it?

Wow - I really like it! And I didn't think I'd ever use an organizer for dog supplies, but I was clicking throught the pictures thinking "Hey, I need one of those!"
![]() The funny thing is, I was wondering the same things about the all in one travel thing. (if you have to screw it to get it apart, etc). IMHO The more adjustable the better - everyone has different needs for their dogs. People who groom will have more grooming supplies than people who do not, and people like me have too many collars (because of a collar obsession ) I would need spot for all of my hiking/backpacking gear, harnesses, etc but others do not.I also like how they are stackable and rotate (for easy access!)! ![]() Let us know how it goes ~

Thanks for all your suggestions!
The tentative dimensions are 15(L) X 17(W) X 23(H). and yes the thing in the base is a drawer lol sorry i forgot to put some descriptions and the windows on the front are supposed to show you part of the containers that hold the meds and grooming stuff so you know the containers are there without having to open the unit. also, I could add some sort of locking mechanism so that the unit stays locked unless you press a specific button or something... and as for the to go thing, you can screw it to take it apart. I guess that part wasn’t that clear in the images sorry ![]() AND I have a couple of questions actually… 1) what do you think about the vertical drawers? I think they make it easier to organize stuff rather than having horizontal drawers. Do you agree or would you rather have horizontal ones? 2) right now, the unit is only 23” tall, meaning it’d have to be placed either on top of a shelf, table, etc. the reason I made it smaller than my original idea was because I thought some people might not need a lot space.(owners w/ a small dog) so i guess i went with the idea of making it as small as possible and let users buy more than one if they need more space... but my question is, would you rather have a larger organizer where you could store food bags too or even extra space if you don't own that much stuff? THANKS again to everyone! |

Wow, I need one!
I do liek the vertical drawer idea. I'd also like to see a larger one. yes, two would work, but it'd just be that much more convenient if a larger one was available.
