Default A question for over weight people....

I have a question for people who are over weight, mainly the people who have battled weight their whole life.

Without getting too gross or too personal, I'd like to know if you have healthy intestines/digestive tract. As in regular bowel movements, good digestion, and no major digestive issues in general.

I have battled weight all my life. I have never been huge, but always the 'chubby' one. I have never had a healthy digestive track IMO, never regular and never good digestion. I can eat the same thing, do the same activity as my sisters and STILL gain while they lose, it's baffling and frustrating.

So I am curious if the digestive/intestine issues are helping me stay over weight, or if it's a symptom of BEING over weight. I am considering a colon cleanse type thing to see if this has any affect.

Very healthy.. (and I have seen nothing to convince me that those colon cleaning things are nothing more than a hoax)

Oh I am not ordering those crazy colon blow things! hahaha, I was considering more of a natural approach like herbs and things..........

They talk about certain approaches here : Colon Cleansing Naturally

I'm obese by the definition and have very a regular digestive tract. Colon cleansing only cleans out your wallet. Doesn't actually make you thinner.

It's usually fine for me, except occasional stomach pains, but I haven't had any for over 4 months now. But I do get diarrhea a lot (TMI sorry), especially during my period but I'm guessing that's normal...

I think the weight gaining thing has more to do with your metabolism though (I know mine sucks, which isn't much of a comfort really).

I'm over weight and I've never had any issues until I started loosing weight. Since loosing weight I've noticed that my stomach seems to be a bit more sensitive and such but nothing that is really bothersome. However, I've been told that my problems are most likely related to the weight loss vs. time I've lost it.

I can tell you that my husband is considered over weight and he has HORRIBLE stomach problems. My sister in law has horrible stomach problems as well and isn't really over weight.

I will say that many causes of being overweight (not eating properly) often lead to stomach issues. That just makes sense. I used to get horrendous heartburn. I'd pop tums, gaviscon, zantac, etc. like they were candy. Since I jumped on the fitness bandwagon and have been eating better, I've not had a single case.

I fall just under an Obese BMI, and I'm very regular and rarely have digestive upset.
