I'm putting up the Christmas decorations today

....and I'm loving it! I can't wait to get some gifts wrapped so I can put them under the tree. Anybody else planning on doing the Christmas decorating?

we just put our tree up last night--I usually don't do it so soon, but my son was headed back to college today. So if we wanted to do it as a family--yesterday was the day! I have to admit, it's nice to have it done, and now we can enjoy it for a long time.

Got my tree up on Friday and the decorations yesterday. Already have the majority of my gifts wrapped, just not the stuff I bought on black Friday, waiting for the kids to go back to school to do those ones. I don't think I am putting them under the tree this year though. This is our first year with cats and a tree and so far the cats are winning. I bet they would rip all the paper off the presents and have a ball.

Got grocery shopping done EARLY this morning, the kids are eating lunch at this moment.......after that, they are going to help dad get all the stuff out of the attic! WOOT!

Then it's decorating MANIA! I love it that they are all old enough to be assigned decorating jobs, and everyone helps hang decorations on the tree......many hands make light work!

My decorations will go up later this week, after the living room is finished getting mucked out.

Outside is decorated now - we were going to do it yesterday but I went shopping with my mom instead. I have to go in to work later and then the tree is going up tonight!

I would have done it Friday if I could have! Actually a couple weeks ago it was REALLY nice out so we talked about putting all the stuff out (but not turning it on.) Should have done that... my fingers are quite cold, haha.

Cats? You should try having a kid! Katelynne has un wraped most of the gifts for my mom. Not her own, mind you, grandmas.

I am hoping to get it done later this week! Have to talk my parents into it.... not so sure they would be willing to have a tree in the living room for 2 1/2ish weeks However, I am DONE all my shopping, and my wrapping is all done! Usually we wait until just before my birthday... but this year with no snow it is making me kind of down, and I cannot really get in the spirit, so I would like to get the decorating done early.

I put the tree up last week

probably won't have any presents under it until christmas eve. the tree is enough temptation for Hannah although she has been REALLY good about NOT touching it but I don't want to add even MORE temptation with presents lol
