A different take on "Dog Art"

Well, seeing as I used to volunteer at a zoo (and plan to begin again soon) I have seen elephants, pigs, gorillas, and several other animals paint. I actually have an elephant painting that the keepers gave me for my high school graduation. So I broke out the paints, laid out a canvas panel, and let the fun begin ^.^

This is the first one he made, and so far it's the best one. We did one in glow in the dark paint on a black canvas, but when the paint dried it was invisible in daylight So we will redo one like that with neon paints and then glow in the dark paints over the top of it.

Awesome! How on earth were you so lucky to get the prints to come out so clearly?! I tried this with Auggie earlier this summer and hardly any of the pawprints came out clear enough that could tell it was a pawprint. =P It's still pretty cool artwork but it's not that neato!

This particular one was very controlled, as we were doing it in my tiny little bathroom LOL! As long as he walked slowly and didn't get too excited, the print came out nice, and my bathroom stayed relatively clean I have more that we did outside, and you can barely tell those are pawprints as he was running, and pawing, and the paint smears more easily. So slow steps is the key

i lOVE doing doggy art...

i get those big rolls of paper from the dollar store...
then we roll it out in the kitchen.
gete off the kitchen
paint (but not too much) onto the paws and let them walk and run around.

because you do it in a huge roll you can cut out the parts that come out clearest and can get some realy cool "blured" effects too.

you also REALY have to trim all the hair out from between the toes for a clear print though

This is such a cool idea! I am definitely going to try this sometime. I will have to trim in between his paws though I'm sure.
