Default this is a disaster

We took Summer to the vet because my brother wouldn't. Her teeth hadn't been cleaned in years. She's 13 years old. They were HORRENDOUS. Vet said otherwise, very healthy and was surprised that she was as old as she was. She said she lookd MUCH younger. ALL she needs is teeth cleaning(scheduled for Friday), but my brother doesn't want to pay for it. He wants to kill her instead. She's in his name (county tags). He pays for the food, but the vet that saw her would definitely be able to say she was neglected. She was only 16 lbs, and the weight lost started many months ago. Just trying to pet her, you feel sharp bones everywhere.

My sister got Fudge (also my brother's dog) transferred into her name and legal ownership because my brother didn't want to care for him (and never has, Tasha always has anyway). My sister can't afford his eye meds. She's looking for a new home for him. We're going to put up flyers at the vets, at local pet stores, he's on craigslist already, and I contacted Cherished cockers.

Already talking to brattina about Summer. My sister may have only one bottle left of the eye meds. We thought we would be able to keep Fudge for awhile, but she just can't afford his meds. He's a really good dog. Loves squeaky toys, gets along fine with all the dogs, is living peacefully with cats now, loves playing tug, and just sweet boy. She's finally groomed him, and he's infested with fleas. My brother wasn't keeping any flea preventative on any of his animals. Tasha is bathing him and going to put frontline on him. This is just a mess. We can rehome Fudge, the problem is finding someone who wants him. Summer is a different situation. My only thread of home that we can stop my brother from murdering Summer is to prove he's neglected her and get her taken away from him (but the local 'animal cops' are just awful and I would NEVER let her go to that shelter).

How much are Fudge's eye meds? And what is he on? Just wondering, if maybe I could help out in that area as well *shrugs*
You might want to consider posting on petfinder's classifieds... That's how I found Charlie's owner

My parents found out about my sister's plans to rehome Fudge. When Fudge gets a new home, they say they will kick her out because she's "throwing Fudge out in the trash". So she has to make a plan and find a way to keep her 3 cats and 2 dogs. I may have talked her into eventually putting up flyers for the cats at the vets.

I have to contact Marq's breeders. I don't know how I will afford to send him back to them.

And... I'm a mess over here. I love Cocoa as much as I love Mason. She's my baby. She saved my life. I would have committed suicide a long time ago when I was just a child if I didn't have to stay alive for her. She's my heart dog. She's apart of my soul.

My mom is going into another episode. She's threatening things against me, claiming I neglect my dog, I never care for her, etc. In the past when I asked if it was too much for her (Cocoa does sometimes need care, and I pay my mom to do it if I ask her todo something for Cocoa), and she was very mad at the idea that I"d rehome her. She's not really neglected, other than not receiving a lot of attention. That is why it took me so long to reach this decision. If she were in the shape the other dogs are in, it would have been easy.

I'm now beginning my search to find Cocoa a new home. I don't know when I will be able to stop crying.

Marcs breeder should foot the costs. If you explain your situation maybe they will help

It stated in the contract that my mother signed that if we were to send him back, my parents would have to pay. I was a minor, signed no contract, and should not be held liable. *sigh* My mom is going to go postal.. well, already is. She doesn't yet know of my plans to rehome Marq. I'm not sure if they'll foot the cost initially, so he can get out of there, and then go after my parents for the money. I sent the email, I'm awaiting their reply to see where the next step is to get him out of that house.

Hopefully they foot the cost

ETA: If your mom is going to freak, go for a walk with marc and dont come back with him. If she is unstable then his wellbeing is more important than freaking her out

Maybe you can find people to help transport him? I know people do it with rescues, and in this case, it's a 'rescue' of sorts ...

Okay people, this is my dilemma. Marq is a large dog. We have a small car. We could detach his plastic crate and put it in the trunk, and keep Marq in the back seat. Breeder preferrably wants to send him from Chicago O'Hare airport. OR, Detroit is big too so ..... if anyone could help with transport, please put the word out there. Marq currently is in Stryker, OH(NW corner of Ohio). I can transport pretty far, I just can't make it all the way to Detroit or Chicago.
