Where's the MEAT? Whole corn as a second ingredient? Wheat as the first?

Horrid. I highly suggest checking out these sites, it will help you get an idea on what makes good or bad food.

The Dog Food Project - How does your Dog Food Brand compare? (namely "Label Information 101", "Identifying Better Products" and "Ingredients to Avoid")

Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble (Fantastic forum-based dog food review site; check out the bests and the worsts primarily and the descriptions as to WHY they are the best/worst)

Hope this helps!

It's basically all grain.... so, pretty awful as far as food goes.

Also: If I fed that stuff to Capone he'd smell like a giant Frito.

Really???

Even as a vegetarian formula, that's awful. Solid Gold makes a much better vegetarian base kibble (although it contains fish, and recommends that you add in fresh meat). Dogs aren't designed to eat bread.
