Default Almost dark at 5

I am so affected by light that this time of the year makes it impossible to think, to be motivated, to do anything without forcing myself. I turn on all the lights in the house and that helps but only a little. Caffine doesnt' fix it either. I make sure i am outside for a couple hours at least. EVen so..i hate this time of year, it is when i should be my busiest and all I want to do is go to bed. Anyone know anything that helps?

Extra light in your home. It's Seasonal Affective Disorder. Happens to the best of us.

In my office, I have to have a bright desk lamp pointed up at the corner of the wall/ceiling just to brighten up the corner.

SAD..good initials. This on top of losing Mary has put a road block to my creative process. I haven't done a thing and that is not good. Goes to turn on more lights.

Another SAD here.

Our sun is down at 4pm here and dark at about 4:20. It stinks! Though when people start to put out there Christmas lights, it kind of helps to cheer me up a bit. It's when January comes along when the SAD hits the worst, even though the days are starting to get longer. Just not fast enough for me. hehe!

I've been using the light box for a few years now. I start it in October and end it in March. I do find it helps me out a bit, I'm able to deal with it a lot better. Also keeping myself moving, exercising through out the winter months, going outside as much as I can, especially during sunny days and not eating too much sugars or starchy foods help.

This may sound really stupid, but what's a light box?

Some fancy gadget i read about that your suppose to sit in front of each day. I am outside at least 3 hours a day as long as the weather is above freezing. For two reasons, i love it outside, and i hate my house but that isn't enough i still need the sun up until 7 or so or i feel like i should hibernate.
