Default that's five

Sonic got another one. this kitty was a very pretty white w/ a large tortiseshell blanket over the head & part of the back.
not a scratch on him this time but i'm still tired of cleaning these up out of the yard where small children might see or worse see the deed done.

Will an electric fence work to keep them out of your yard?
I wouldn't mind borrowing Sonic to keep the cats out of my yard! They bring in fleas!

I find cats tend to be pretty dog savvy though, we've never seen one in our yard. you must have a dopey/suicidal lot hanging around your place.

That's too bad pops. I would be sick of it too........it would break my heart to go out and find that constantly BUT I wouldn't fork out MY money to electrify my fence or any other method. If you keep your dog contained that should be enough.

That's what I keep thinking too Mroses! There are cats all over my neighborhood, in my side yard, front yard, they get into my trash cans (cans are stored on the side yard behind a fence panel) but NEVER NEVER NEVER in my backyard. The squirrels are crazy enough to do it, but they have more abilities to escape, LOL

You'd think one of two things would happen.

1. You run out of strays dumb enough to come into your yard when Sonic is out there
2. The word will get around to the other cats to not mess with Sonic.

Sorry you're having to deal with this. It's got to suck.

I find this hard to believe...that it is happening at such a high rate and volume. I understand an occassional mishap, but one after the next....on and on?

Cats are one of the most successful survivors from an evolutionary standpoint. They are also considered an invasive species. That's how successful/prolific they are. If too many cats are doing this.....placing themselves right on the dinner table and waiting for a predator, how on earth would they reproduce to pass on their caution genes which help them become so prolific...How would they do this, if they're dead?

At any rate, these cats with the stupid genes are being selected against as we speak.

I'm surprised they are that careless too. We rarely get cats in our yard. They will come into the front yard where it's not fenced, but hardly ever in the fenced area. Gunnar has nearly caught some a few times but once that happens they never come back.

You could have a neighborhood sadist who is throwing them over the fence.
