Default What Do You Add to Your Dogs Food?

I was just curious to see what other kibble feeders add to their dogs meals. Might give me some new things to try in Rosco's kibble.

I don't add anything in unless it's a special day (birthday, holidays, etc) and then it's a can of wet food that I split up.

Kiba as a pup I'd add stuff in her bowl to get her to eat... and she'd never eat without something special in her bowl. That got old quickly.. and after a short hunger strike I didn't have to do it anymore.

I add nothing here. I feed a high-quality kibble and that's plenty.

Finn does sometimes get some canned food and/or peanut butter... because I'll top a kibble-packed Kong with it. But that's a treat, not a supplement.

When I fed kibble I always added a little warm water right before feeding.

I like to try and add fresh ingredients as often as possible.

Mostly I add something "green" like broccoli or green beans.

Other things I add include fish, sweet potatoes, sardines.

They probably only get things added 3-4 times per week, I have never had an issue with them not eating the other times though.

I don't add anything. If you are feeding a good quality dog food there should be no need to add supliments to the dog's food. Treats? Maybe once in a while but using them too often may encourage some to become picky eaters.

Currently I'm treating my dog's UTI so I'm adding a few drops of Apple Cider Vinegar to his water.

When its hot and he doesn't eat too much I add a bit of wet food and he gobbles it down but I slowly wean him off of it so that he doesn't become accustomed to it.

I used to put salmon oil in my dog's food because he was shedding a lot, now that that problem isn't such a bother I've stopped using it.

Otherwise, unless suggested by a dog nutritionist or unless they really need it, I don't put things in their food

just warm water!

I used to feed canned mixed with dry, but i can no longer afford to do that because canned is so pricey.

I only feed about 50% dry but sometimes I add sardines, eggs, yoghurt or liver just to make it a bit more exciting. Plus the kibble he's on now isn't great so I've cut it back to about 30% and made sure I add other stuff.

Eggs are a hit here. If I feed kibble, I add something most of the time. Eggs, veggies (no, I don't think they're necessary, but the dogs have fun with it), fruits... and we train with a lot of different things I find in the refrigerator!
