Those things are huge!
I love how the vines curl around - especially in the second shot. It's such a clean view of those vines. On the first, I really like how that vine at the top starts close to you and leads in to the rest. ETA: I jumped the gun and missed the "*more*". Keep them coming!

Hyia and I have a special surprise series so I am going to keep some for those and eventually get it all put in a slide show. We have a section of the woods..a paw paw patch she calls her jungle gym. She fell off days in a row but she finally found her balance. IT was great fun and we have an mutual interest in them. I can't find them in mom's book..when we were kids i always heard them called goat vine. Someone told me the older the woods the more abundant and thicker the vines will be. Some of them don't touch a branch for a hundred feet up.
THis one we think was stripped by porcupine. It was near the tree bark that had porcupine bites in it.  THe mad flamigo    more I will have more next week. THanks for viewing.

This is an excellent series, Smkie! Both Mary and Hyia compliment everything and I still can't get over how big those vines are....Especially that first shot in your last post.
I'm still struggling to do the vines downtown justice. Unfortunately, the last of the leaves are down now - which means I've lost that opportunity until next year. Hopefully by then I'll find a creative angle which works for them (growing up a decaying concrete wall). I mentioned Hyia in general terms, but that first shot with her in it....I hope that gets framed. She looks so at peace and at home. One last thought before I head off to bed. Those shots looking up to the canopy (or lack of it at this time of year  ) give an amazing perspective.

THat's her chair. SHe has one named her horse, and the jungle gym..i got a print of the chair one because i agree...she's relaxed and happy. One for my daughter too.

I don't get vacations. I haven't seen the ocean in 25 years so I have to be happy with what's underfoot. Just glad I have a place like this to smooth out the stresses. THis fall has been glorious. THe paw paws had some crazy color too.
  I have posted this one before but i wanted to share the blanket effect you got down there. It had an otherworld feel to it.  this is by far my most favorite.
