How to stop a dog from pulling on the leash, teaching a dog to walk on a loose leash, choosing a dog leash (leather or retractable).

The way that I find the easiest method for me is to start walking when the dog walks past you to get in front do an about face and walk the opposite way and let all the slack out of the leash. The dog will hit the end of the leash and see you walking the opposite way. As the dog is walking towards you praise him and if he goes to walk in front again repeat the drill. Start in a place with limited distractions and work your way up to more and more distractions. I find this is very useful to teach before I start getting into how to do a proper heal. U have to crawl before u can walk so to speak.
