first time using a grater
I was grating up a big bar of chocolate for a pie. and I grated my index finger tip, and in the middle.
the simplest things seem to always get me! ARGH!!!

uhh you've NEVER used a grater before?!?!
And yah, I ALWAYS manage to grate my fingers, I now use graters that I don't need to have my hand anywhere near the thing lol

I am 22 yrs old, and I have just now started trying to cook for myself. yup, first time using a grater.

Wow, I've been using a grater since I was really young...
I usually manage to get my fingernails. :P

Better than cutting your finger with a knife, which I manage to do quite often. Last time, it was very deep and difficult to stop the bleeding. (and my blood usually clots very well and quickly....good platelets) LOL. But yeah...not very comfortable, to say the least.
I have one of these things and I couldn't live without it. I use garlic an awful lot and this is so handy and quick. I use it all the time....every day almost. http://us.microplane.com/zestergrater.aspx But it wouldn't make those nice curly things with chocolate.
