Me, too. I also hope it is a false pregnancy and it is always good to have some experience in raising pups (orphans)

it was definatly confirmed, shes carrying 2 possibly 3 pups, we have an appt for a xray/ultrasound to confirm how many forsure, and to see if theres any problems to expect, from size of pups etc... they are both on Medical and have been doing great on it!! Ive done constant reading, and asking questions from the breeder I purchased them from, Ive probably drove them all nuts butttt i need to be sure Ive been given all correct info. Yes we love them very much, they are our first priority! But atleast I know that yes its definatly possible to become pregnant without a tie...I will keep everyone posted on her progress etc, and submit puppy pics

Good luck !!! Nothing's harder than an unwelcomed pregnacy ...I know you'll do your best for Momma and the babies.

when does she go in for the x-ray, or ultrasound? Do they do an ultrasound on dogs like they do people?

You're right. My golden, Copper, while I was growing up had a false pregnancy. Would gather all the stuffed babies like they were her puppies. Poor girl was very confused...

Books, omg, i have about 4 different books... and i have taken many out of the library....She goes to the vet again this upcoming saturday for her ultra sound, the vet says after 28 days an ultra sound can be done, im interested to see how it is done on a pup myself. Id imagine its likely not too much different. Ive seen xrays done which was a huge pain, the dog just didnt want to cooperate..lol A lady i know decided to breed her chi, and then when she became closer to her whelping date she paniced...she refused to change her food, and take proper care of her, so i convinced her to let me look after her. Considering she spent most of her time at my house( the dog) anyways she was quite comfortable. She wasnt at all healthy as far as i was concerned, eatting garbage food, and skinny. we changed her food to Medical, got her out walking every nite, bathed her and spoiled her rotten. within 3 weeks she had a huge difference she actually seemed more content. I actually tried to convince her to give me the dog...lol I just dreaded to return her again knowing she isnt treated the way she should be treated. We took her to our own vet had her examined to ensure she was ok. Whelping time came and thankfully she did her role but that soon changed. "mom" didnt want anything to do with her baby at all, i had to force her to feed him within the first 24 hours to ensure he recieved the important stuff. At times she tried to hurt him so we took over indefinatly. We returned her to her owner, unfourtunatly, and bottle fed him, He did remarkable, and we ended up giving him to my mother in law who is in a wheel chair for companionship. He has turned out to be her godsent, he never leaves her side, and she adores him. The best thing in the world for each other:-) Ive actually hand raised 11 puppies before , for someone else so im ready for anything Ill let everyone know what happens at the vet this weekend.
