Star Fruit and Coconut!
So I needed a little cheering up this afternoon, the boys and I went to the grocery on a "find something NEW" hunt!
Corey picked a package of star fruit from Florida! I didn't realize he'd never tried it, LOL He LOVES it! He wants more, hahahah.........a nice citrus hint, without the SOUR smack in the face  Zac of course had to be difficult and picked a coconut from the Dominican Republic. Yes, we've had plenty of coconut in this house but NEVER fresh ones..........we normally buy the nicely shredded packages, LOL He and dad went out to the shed and drilled a hole in it (two holes) and drained the juice..........which he and Corey drank down (yuck) Then Kevin cut it in half for them. Now, I am asking all of you..........HOW DO I GET THE FLESH OUT OF THE TWO HALVES WITHOUT WRECKING THEM! Zac wants to keep the shells for a bikini top (don't ask) And THEN........what to do with the coconut flesh? Ideas for something tasty please

my kids used to just scrape the coconut flesh out with a large spoon--and eat it straight out of the shell! But I suppose you could toast it too.
Now, I do really want to know why Zac wants a coconut bra?

as a side note, coconut milk is great for the digestive system, just dont let them drink too much lol.
