Stubby: Brave Soldier Dog was my FAVORITE book when I was a kid. I still remember where it was shelved at the library. It has been out of print for ages, but my mother finally found me a used copy a couple Christmases ago.

I bring up Stubby all the time when bully bashers start at it.
 I'm of the opinion that when you turn your back on pitties you turn your back on our history. They used to be the lab of America in a way, the all american dog.
