Default Rap

Well, R&B/Hip Hop, I guess.
I suppose this is more of a question to those who actually...listen to todays music, lol.
But is it just me, or the rappers 'back in the day' have more meaningful things to rap about?
Now, Im not saying that none of the rap now doesn't have any meaning, nor am I saying that all the rap back then is meaningful, its just a thing that I've noticed while listening to 2Pac and Biggie.

Probably just me

Yup. The commercial stuff is musical junkfood, as my brother puts it. The off the map stuff is more meaningful. I like both.

Oops I meant write not right, lol.

Oh and speaking of things that rhyme. I hate that people think Lil'Wayne is 'the best rapper alive' with his Dr.Seuss, wordplay raps...grrr!! Now I can get some peace with him being in jail and not have to hear his annoying vocie featured in every song!!

OMG yes! I will never understand Lil Wayne. Any song that I like with him in it... is in spite of him being in it. He just sucks. When I first heard him referred to as the "best rapper alive" I thought it was sarcasm.

I'm still dumbfounded by that statement lol.

Its funny Kanye help Jay Z produce that song, yet he has a whole album autotuned!

If Lil'Wayne is the best rapper alive, than no rapper is living then
