Palom + Porom + Rascal at the playground
JessLough and I took our ferrets today to get their annual ADV test. ADV is an autoimmune, contagious ferret illness, and so, before their bi-annual ferret frolics, the local ferret rescue holds this ADV test. The kids have to get a nail clipped at the quick for the blood test.
Our three all took them like troopers, though poor little Palom was too laid back to bleed (they need to be mildly stressed to get enough blood pressure to bleed through the nail) so he got quicked four times.  He was fine though, doses of ferretone in between helped!Anyways, post-test, we took them to the playground behind the community centre where the clinic was, so they could have some fun and dig. Rascal goes down the slide! Wheeee!  Rascal and Porom tagteam-digging.  Hanging out with some of the coordinator's ferrets!  One day, I want a really dark ferret like the fellow in these pics.  Palom agrees, dark ferrets make nice kissyface.  -MORE-

Porom requested that I show off the trench she was digging.
 The boys were clambering onto JessLough's leg. XD  "o hai!" Palom sat in my pocket for a bit to get warm.  Porom. Don't mind her tail... it gets ratty-looking when bottle-brushed in her summer coat.  The boys, Palom and Rascal.  And all three, in their coordinating harness/leashes!  All done!

Oooh some great pictures and some amazing looking weasels. I gotta get me some ferret buddies in my area
That trench is a thing of glory  Me wants the black sable though, pretty please Rascal is such a handsome silver and Palom sure looks like a big boy. I love when there is such a marked difference between the outer and undercoat
