Default small breed dog food

Is Lynn too big for a small breed dog food? She is a sheltie, 35lbs. full grown.

it doesnt say on the bag. where it tells you have much to feed per weight, it has the weight all the way up to 45lbs.

Diamond has the small breed L&R in a small bag, and I need to find a food in a smaller bad for Lynn since Ruckus and Lynn both eat dif foods I am worried that a big bag would go bad!

Would a 40lb bag of dog food go bad before a 35lb dog eats it all? she only eats about 1 and 1/2 cups a day.

seems like all of the dog foods that i would feed Lynn that are in my area are in 5lb bags or 40lb bags!

When we have a car or get delivery, we get Rosey a bag of food that's 35-40lbs, not exactly sure. Now, she's a bigger than Lynn, at 48lbs, but she only eats about 1 1/2 cups a day (can't tell for sure, she's free fed). A bag of food like that will last her I believe over a month, and I've never had an issue with it going bad.

I buy the 40 pound bags of dog food for Lola and she is 10 pounds. She eats 1/3 cup in the morning and 1/3 cup in the evening. It has not gone bad at all. If you look at the expiration date on the bag I am sure it has at least 6 months or more from the time you buy it.

What you could do is get one of those air tight dog food containers big enough to hold all 40 pounds.

I used to get the 17 pound bag but when I seen the price of the 17 pound bag over $30 and the 40 pound bag was slightly more than $40 it was a no brainer.

Well I have an assortment of dogs, though thankfully three eat the same food now (there was a time where it was three different foods for four dogs...which was sad) Ginger is the one with her own food and we buy a 5 lb bag, which lasts her two months. (she's 10 lbs) I've had cereal that sits in the box too long and that just gets gross, so I try to not keep dog food around forever either The other three kids go through a 17 lb bag or so every three weeks.

ETA that the only one of the small kids to get a 'small breed' food is Ginger, and that's because, due to her megaesophagus, she needs very small kibbles
