Default Need prayers for Brody

Yesterday evening his was playing rough with the other dogs. Well last night I noticed him limping and he could not get on the bed. When I felt his legs and hips I felt a lump on his left leg and a lump on his left side near his stomach. He has cried out in pain four times overnight when he moves a certain way. I am bringing him to the vet at 2:00 I need prayers that it is nothing serious.

The vet gave him a metacam injection and he has to start deramaxx today for seven days. It could be arthritis or something with his spine. The vet wants to see if he improves on this and if not he will have to go for further testing. He has not cried out anymore but he is still not himself. He has alot of trouble going down the stairs it is almost like he thinks he is going to fall head first down. I don't know if his back legs are locking up or what. I am not letting him follow me around like he normally does and I am just letting him go down the stairs four or five times a day to pee. He usually runs down the stairs so as soon as he does that I will know he is feeling better.

I am praying it is nothing more serious and up until Wednesday night he was fine he plays like he is a puppy he was rolling around and running like a nut he got so crazy playing with Gunner I actually stopped him and brought him in because I thought he would hurt himself. He came in that evening and ate normal and was acting okay then a few hours later it all started. To me he just seems stiff and sore all over. I really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and I will keep everyone posted.

Oh and the vet said to give him two Deramaxx 100mg a day 12 hours apart but I have heard the dose is just 100 mg a day what do you think? Is one enough? I hate to give him to much of this.

No way Mary could do stairs, more than three or four and she would fall down them all. Maybe you could make him a ramp with a no skid surface until the inflamation is down.
