It is normal for puppies to cry when left alone... they are in a new place and scared.
Give him good things in his crate (or wherever you are leaving him) like stuffed kongs or other treats. Also if possible try to leave him for short times at the beginning and then work your way up to longer intervals... this helps to reassure him that you are coming home! |

One thing we did with Capone to ease anxiety was to 'pack up' (put on a jacket, grab keys, purse, etc.) and walk out the door... and then come back in. OVER and OVER and OVER. It felt stupid, but helped a great deal for us. We later added starting the truck, then going around the block. We would not praise when we came back in until he was relaxed.

At 10 weeks I wouldn't feed dry ....crush the dry a bit , add some water and a little cottage cheese and some hard boiled egg.

Someone advised me keep my pup in a dark environment helps. And even adding your own dirty clothes into the crate are the best steps to relax an anxious puppy. I guess he'll get the impression that ure still around. :P

10 weeks is perfectly fine for eating dry kibble. Adding things in his/her food now to get him to eat is not going to help in the long run.
