Default Two new fosters - breed guesses?

First up is Lucy. She was pregnant when she was picked up by animal control. She had and raised her pups in the shelter, and then was pulled from there when her time was up by a very nice lady... but the lady couldn't handle Lucy's energy so she called us. Lucy is about a year old and clearly part Basset Hound. The other part is a mystery, though we have our theories. She weighs 45 pounds. What do you all think about Lucy?

**other dog in the next post!**

And this is Pepper. She's about 2 years old. She was listed as a Pug mix at the shelter but I don't know if that was a guess or if they knew her past... I wasn't given any history on her. She weighs 14 pounds. She has a very course coat that's awful to pet, LOL. She has lots of energy when we're on walks, wanting to sniff everything and chase anything that moves.

That is so good of you to foster these two dogs. I have to say....I LOVE the look of Lucy. Too bad you are so far away or I might have thought about adding her to my home!!

LOL, and she is a NEAT dog! Her favorite thing to do is bound through the tall grass in the horse pasture, and it's hilarious with those little legs

That 2nd one looks like it has Chi in it. Could be wrong, though. I suck at breed guesses.

I see mostly basset in the first, with maybe some shepherd? I'm not sure why though.

The second I see chihuahua/peke maybe? Pug might work too, but she really reminds me more of a peke (would explain the long and low to the ground build, though chis can be pretty stocky and shorter legged too) Wouldn't explain the coat though.

the 1st dog I thought basset and maybe some sort of other hound?

the 2nd I think peke and rough/wire haired jackrussel. that would give his coat that texture and then the peke would explain the lil smush face lol

Maybe Lucy might have Coonhound in her or maybe even Beagle. Either way I am in love.
