Default The Official P90X progress thread

Several members of Chaz are in process or starting the P90X exercise program. This is the thread to post our progress, questions and just encourage each other.

I'm currently in week 4, which is the "rest" week of phas 1 (3 phases). No weight work this week. All core, cardio and yoga. Tonight was core. Tomorrow is Kempo Kickboxing.

Overall, I feel great and have that strange, "Can't wait to work out" feeling.

Diet-wise, I'm mostly not following their program, as I have special dietary needs. I'm eating a lot of lean proteins, low salt and avoiding "bad" carbs.

My supplements include a multi-vitamin, L-Glutamine prior to the workout and protein powder shakes post-workout and any time in the day I want to add some additional protein in.

If anyone is brave enough, they can post before/after pictures. I will be taking 30 day pics in about a week. For now, here are my 14 day pics, taken a little more than a week ago. No laughing and no comments about the hair, please

Warning - shirtless eddieq pictures

Wow Eddie, I definitely see the tone build up! I'm not being a perv either - for once.

I'll post my beginning picture here soon.

Thanks Camp. One thing I really notice is that my thighs are like pieces of iron. There is so much squats/lunges in this program. I've always had strong legs, but this is ridiculous.

Lookign awesome, Eddie! I notice it the most in your limbs and stomach - your limbs have a significant difference in tone, and your stomach/core sits much higher - proof that those muscles underneath are building up!

I restarted last night. I only did half of the workouts last week. My roommates wanted to do it with me and it was just too hard to schedule times that work with them, classes during the day and work nights. So I'm doing it myself when I know I have time!

However, last night was the 2nd time I did core and I felt noticeably better during the entire thing. I think last week helped me prepare a little.

I took before pictures last night, so at day 14 or 30 I'll have to post updated ones.

I'm not following the nutrition plan exactly, but I did incorporate a lot of the ideas. I'm taking my multivitamin daily, and a protein drink after workouts.

Keep up the good work. The pics definitely show the progress you're making. I'm looking forward to following you along this program.

I started this morning, will be doing workouts in the evening. I'm following the nutrion plan... and boy is it hard trying to get what they see as 9 proteins in. I had egg whites and turkey bacon this morning with cheese mixed in... tasted alright but kinda scary looking... looked like ghost eggs!! And the protein shake aint half bad either (as long as you chug it and don't think about it).

I took a multivitamin this morning as well. I dunno if its because I never eat breakfast but I feel kinda weird now...

It's your day one. Do your best but don't feel that you need to do every rep or keep up with them. Keep your log and note what went well and if you crashed. It only took me one day of not having a big enough dinner prior to the leg/back workout to not make that mistake again.

Take a hot shower or bath after your workout tonight. You may not be able to get out of your chair tomorrow Trust me, though, it gets better.

I'm doing the workout this evening as well...I have to wait for medication to kick in so I'm not as stiff (which I woke up super stiff this morning)

Kempo tonight. Week 4, day 3. Probably AFTER the phillies game, though
