Default Chest Freezer

Anyone have any advice on buying a chest freezer? I've been watching Craigslist for a while but haven't seen one. I'd rather have a chest freezer than an upright since they're more energy efficient and I think I could hide it better (since, unfortunately, there is no spare room in the kitchen) -- would it be totally stupid to throw a tablecloth or something over it in the dining room?

I am so sick of raw taking up my entire freezer. The darn thing is overfull and it's driving me nuts! I'm still having a bit of trouble finding good raw sources here, but, honestly, even if I did, I couldn't buy much at this point.

TIA.

We got one from Lowe's. It wasn't that expensive- less than an upright freezer for sure. We keep it out in the garage.

I have a small chest freezer we got from Sears, it's like 12 cu. ft.
It fits anywhere, and isn't so heavy (empty) that I can't move it. I don't think we paid much for it either.

I bought my chest freezer from Home Depot. I'm pretty sure it was less than $200, including delivery.

And, boy, do I feel your pain about the freezer being full. When my daughter very plaintively asked me one day if anything in our refrigerator's freezer was meant for us to eat, I knew it was time to invest in a chest freezer.

Yay, they're on sale at HD! I got a fairly small, 7 cu ft one, and am looking forward to filling it up with Bailey food!

Ugh. I still need a chest freezer. A nice small apartment sized one. I'm putting it on my christmas list
