Default Sweet Outdoor Ferret area

Check this out.....it's too awesome!

On Sunday, September 27th 2009 we had the official release of the
ferrets into the Natural Area. It was AWESOME to see them pop their
little heads out the end of the tube looking around not sure of what
was out there. Slowly emerging one-two-three at a time, I think they
realized this was cool. After the initial sniffing and checking things
out it wasn't long till the dooking began. Now with ferret dug tunnels
throughout, they are having the time of their lives. A very dear friend
has taken the time to put together a picture/video slide show of the
release. When we can raise the funds, we want to purchase a live webcam
system where you can observe them 24/7 and experience what we do every
day. It's awesome.

Please take a moment to check out the slideshow
www.fgrh.org/construction.html
and if you would like to help us raise funds for the webcam, please
make a donation by clicking on the ferret donation button on the top
left corner of the page. All donations are tax-deductible and you will
receive a receipt at the year end by January 30, 2010 for your tax
records.

Thank all of you who have donated and supported our raffles to make
this dream a reality. All the fuzzies here at Ferret Guardian are
eternally grateful as we are. probably more so.

Permission is given to crosspost and share.

Verrry cool.

Lol if I didn't know better when I saw them flip around like that in play I'd think they had a some sort of neurotic disorder. They are sooo cute.

Do ferrets climb? How about swim?

Do you know how many they put in there?

I had a fenced area that size for my rabbits and I figure between them eating the grass and something to do with their urine they turned it all into weeds. I wonder how this'll hold up to ferrets?

They are so funny.

Some ferrets climb, mine do not. Some ferrets like to swim, I read somewhere that deaf ferrets seem to like water more than hearing-ferrets. Izzy loves water. It is too funny to watch her snorkle, but I've never let her in water where she actually had to swim, swim, you know what I mean? She has taught Annie to like water a little more each time. lol its too funny.
There worse offense is digging. My girls haven't dug any real holes outside, yet. They scratch at the grass, have uprooted a dandilion, but mostly they play and explore, zip through tunnnels. I don't know how many ferts are in that particular enclosure. I am super jealous of it, though

Rascal loves to climb. Today, he climbed onto the table as if to say "no, ma, if you put the dog food up here, it is still not safe, so you may as well just leave it on the floor". He then proceeding to go in the front and climb up onto the chest, then up onto the shelf about 6 feet off the ground :|

Rascal loves water as well. I always put enough water that he can swim, but of course he can touch the ground if he really needed to.

Wow, that's impressive. I miss having a dedicated room for my ferrets, would kill for something like that!

Oh, well, I take it back then. Izzy loves to get on the kitchen table. I don't know how she does it. I think she somehow leap jumps onto a chair, and then pulls herself up like a gosh darn monkey. She likes to push the paper towels to the floor, so her and Annie can make a mess of them

I had to bump.... I was going through my old links saved in my favorites... and I LOVEd the video of the ferrets playing in the snow
I am soooo jealous of their outdoor enclosure. I'm going to see if my Dad will help me build a miniature version for my lil critters

That is very cool. I wonder if I could build that on a small scale for my cats.
