Default How has chaz changed your thought on breeds?

Has chazhound influenced your opinion on a certain breed or two. Has it even changed what your favorite breed is or influenced your choice in breed for your next dog?

I know for me I am starting to like aussies more. I've always liked them, but even more so now. Same with border collies. I didnt even knew they came in different colors until now. I love the way they look, but actually owning one is a different story.... I dont think I can handle the yappiness, but they are pretty to look at. lol.

My two favorite breeds are never going to change (APBT & Chi), but I have become more of a doberman fan since joining as well. I want to rescue an albino one some day.

I've always had smooth coat chihuahuas, but the long coats are really looking tempting thanks to foxy and jessie.

As far as my next breed, I'd say its a rottie. I've been wanting another one for years now. But I cant really say its a new breed, since I've had one before, so I guess that doesnt even count.

So what about YOU?

well, papillons thanks to Laur. I've realized they are a lot more than a "cute little toy dog". They actually really fit what I want in a dog, so they're definatly a breed I will own.

oh and Cresties... but I'm not sure if that's so much Chaz as just meeting a bunch in person at dog shows. The hair style has REALLY grown on me, and now I LOVE it! LOL.

I just love learning about different kinds of dogs.

What I'm looking for in a dog really hasn't changed, but I get to live vicariously through people who have dogs which fascinate me, but which I'd also not be able to provide the proper home.

Chaz has totally changed my view on pitbulls. I was never one of those people that HATED them, i love all dogs, but I didn't see the big deal at them being banned.. I feel like that kind of thing is so stupid and selfish now. I never pictured them as family dogs

Of course, Papillons lol I loved them when I was younger, but forgot about them in favor of golden retrievers, which were my obsession for the longest time. Laurs troop brought them back to life for me, and now there is a puppy in my near future

Chihuahuas also. I always thought they were ugly and mean, the ones I met were poorly bred and awful little creatures. the many chis of chaz have changed my mind about them

Border collies. they used to freak me out lol the staring thing just made me uncomfortable

Of course chaz has also opened my eyes to many breeds I didn't know about, like the fila

My heart breed, border collies, has not changed, but I have a MUCH better understanding of almost every breed, including my own heart breed. I also have a much higher knowledge of just about everything else we discuss. Health care, diet, training, everything.

Chazhound has opened me up to considering MANY different breeds... before joining Chaz, I never had much interest in Border Collies... this forum definitely was the reason I ended up with one!

Chihuahuas have always been my <3 breed... I love everything about them and I don't think that will ever change.
