Default I know your tired of these threads..

I have had my Nikon D60 for almost a year now and all I really do is point and shoot!! Pretty much any camera can do that!! or I use the setting "P"

Everyone I know keeps saying "how great" my pictures are but I know I can do SOOOOOOO much more/better!!

What sites did you guys use to "learn" how to use your camera and when to use what setting and what not ??

Also what editing program do you guys use ?

I REALLY want to get to know my camera more because I LOVE taking pictures!!

I use the 'S' setting and I've just done countless hours of trial and error. I'm now pretty decent and being able to guess what situation needs what setting. I tend to shoot at ISO 400, 1/400, -0.3 for the most part.

I've had my D50 for...around 3 years and I'm still learning things about it. Mostly I just play around.

I love that shot of Skylar though, he's such a cool looking dog.

I dont use manual setting either. I use shutter priority setting.

When I first started using an SLR camera I used the P setting and went on from there.

I shoot manual most of the time if I have the time to correct settings. If not, I use a programed setting. But lately I've been trying to go manual for most things because I find my picture quality/colors/lighting is way better.

I don't use but the software that came with my camera; Nikon's PictureProject software. I've been using Adobe Lightroom for about a month, and it's okay, but I would like to try Adobe Photoshot to see what the differences are.
