(not sure I'm spelling tongue correctly
) BUT Hammie started panting after running around and I see a small black spot on his tongue. I can't swear it wasn't always there.......but you'd think I'd have noticed it prior if it was. It's not very big....maybe the size of a small mosquito bite. Dave says it looks like a birthmark and isn't alarmed.....what do you think?? Thanks! |

Buster has a small black spot on his tongue, I think it's just like Dave said, a birthmark. My friend's purebred GSD has one.

Now that you're aware of it, just keep an eye on it, checking periodically for changes in size, shape, etc. As long as it stays the same, I wouldn't worry and would just ask the vet about it at the next appointment.
And yes, you did spell 'tongue' correctly
