When did you first realize you wanted a dog?

Myself, I first realized after I seen a friend's dog about 3 or 4 months ago. I instantly wanted one from then and started to read about dogs all the time.

I've always had cats, and still love the cat I have now, but cats just don't seem that interested in people like dogs do. I want a dog that I can take for walks and play with all the time, I've never gotten that from a cat.

My family (mostly dad's side) have ALWAYS loved dogs. When I was born, my house already had 3 dogs. It just came naturally to me

I dunno. I've always loved dogs for some reason. My family owned, not me I was very small and knew nothing, an American Eskimo Dog and a Shepherd mix (Both gotten from "free to good home" newspaper ads).

I loved 'im- even though both of them bit me severely. You think that stopped me from wanting a dog? Nooope-- me n' my stubborn self, STILL wanted a dog.

Well, cause of complications I wasn't able to get one until just recently. Before that I always would look at pictures, research, etc- But now I've got Rocky, my German shepherd, and I don't regret it.

What can I say, dogs are awesome!
