Default On fire Cockers

My kids are kicking butt. Smudge ran once a day and Q'd both runs. He got advanced snooker yesterday being his 3rd with his often only dog 1st place ribbon .. so he is now in masters.

I screwed up the gamble with Cider, but she got a whackload of points in the opening so I was pleased. She took down a bar in snooker.. Got a 3rd and a 4th.. (One day I want a wall hanging.. I'm saving them..)

Today Smudge started off the day rocking advanced jumpers. His requisite 1st place and a Q.. also his 3rd putting him into masters.

Not sure I'm ready for my little boy to be all grown up..

Cider had to wait almost all day to play steeplechase and wanted nothing to do with weaving. Multiple attempts to get it done.. unimpressive.. and greeted the ring crew.. 3rd/4 dogs. meh. I do feel bad she had to wait all day to do anything though..

Redeemed herself and then some by pulling off a master jumpers Q. Got 1st (which is a feat in 16" dogs and in masters. There is ALWAYS competition, most of it quite good) We managed to beat a mini poodle who also Q'd who is very very fast. It's a first I'm awfully proud of.

That's our fourth master jumpers Q. Cider got her Master Jumpers Dog of Canada title today. She is my awesome baby. 6 Qs from an ATCH these days. I don't think it'll be easy by any means but it's awesome to see the number decrease .

Cider's running out of wall space. I may need to move just for her sake. It's to the point where I don't think I have room to display 2-4th places unless they are pretty rosettes.

And I almost forgot. Smudge made it onto the top dog list in the AAC for 2009 for 9 Qs on saturday.. He moved up the list today by getting his 10th.

Congrats!!!

I am hoping to get out to more trials with Mindy and Scandal, may get to meet you and the Rockin Cockers!!!

Totally random, but it is funny how in Canada, First place is red, and in the US it's blue... LOL

Thanks everyone

I hope so too. I'd love to see Scandal again.

Depends upon the club really. Newbie clubs, or clubs that don't care have managed to drop the ball here. I have 2 rally o rosettes from 2007 that are blue 1st places (there's no specifications in the CARO rules). I've got another rally 1st that is a blue rosette from 2008 different club..

One local club got red blue white and yellow for AAC flats when it is specified and it's red green purple and white..

Have 2 'odd' ones I like.. a first and a second that are both purple and black- also rally..

I like the unusual colored rosettes, I saw some at a trial at the were these awesome fall colors, very neat!

With the JRTCA/CC you could always tell which side of the border the ribbion was from, my JRTCA ones were all blue, and the JRTCC ones red... LOL

I like some of the CPE ribbons I've seen.. Rainbows.. pawprints all over the streamers, etc. I like funky ones too.
Fall colours would rock my socks too.

Haha too true on the JRT ribbons they would definitely be the correct colours
