I would agree on that. I had a bit of a problem last year and switch over to Advantage and it did seem to work a bit better.

The fleas here not only love dogs, but they also love Lily as well. I've even found some on her. I used a fogger in my house twice and that seemed to kill them all, for the time being.

the flea pill Comfortis does work. 100%
however the only critter i have that can take it is Lynn
it gave Ruckus the squirts and full blow colitis.
they do not make it for cats or bunnies.

Nothing works in Oklahoma permanently, believe me... I lived there long enough to know. Every summer you will have fleas. I could put anything on my dogs (Frontline, Advantix, etc) and I'll still have fleas.

Comfortis did work on everyone but made two of my dogs vomit a lot.

just dont use promeris. I have seen more dogs have problems with that than anything. I am talking nervous system damage!
So far the most common problem with Comfortis is that it can cause upset stomach. you are suppose to give it with food. But it still screw Ruckus's belly up.

It always seemed to me that fleas preferred the yellow labs over the black and the white dogs most of all. Pepper has very little problem at all but let Victor go in the field to chase about and he always comes back with something. Epsecially if they are digging. Moles must have problems with fleas too. I borax the heck out of my home. I used flea and tick treatment for the first time this year because the ticks were insanely bad but it made VIctor's skin look irritated and the small part of it that touched his plastic hunting collar dissolved it which is just plain creepy. WE have had sooo much rain and the fleas seem to prefer it wet, seems like even at the kennels when it got drought like the numbers lessened. Everyone here is complaining about them and about their flea treatments not working.

It's odd how some dogs are plagued by fleas and others not. A gentleman that brings his 2 Jack Russel crosses to play never treats his dogs for fleas and they have no problem. I'm hoping I'll be as lucky. When we lived in Edmonton we never treated for fleas because it get's so bloody cold there fleas aren't a problem.

Capstar is great. So far I have never seen a dog have problems with it. It starts killing in 30 minutes. It will kill every flea on the dog, but it is not a preventative. It just kills what is on the dog.

both comfortis and capstar taste like treats and most all dogs will readily eat them up!
