Last but not least Top UKC Grand World Champio sired with LIMITED 3-5 shows a year.
This dog took on a Mountain Lion and a burglar by age 1.5.

So as you can see they are more than a one Trick pony.
However quaifying in competitions is not the same as mastering it.
Can they do anything ???? and i do mean anything ? HELL YES.
Since they are a landrace with vast differences in sizes temperaments .
With the right line trainer or owner their is nothing they cant do,
However a price to to pay. To breed for competition vs working natural working ability would decrease the natural drives to replace with man made selection. This will increase homes YES more SALES hooray for the millers. Then I would have more rescues from other breeders.

I personally do not do anything unless I MASTER it.
So I would not want to be in last place in a PP trial.
So i can put another TRICK in the breeds ok i did it board.
So I can prove stupid ego points to others.
Allot of this is based on the work the human puts into the dog and not really a reflection on this landrace as a whole.

We have seen what the price of Rin tin tin /lassie have done to those breeds. And we want none of it. We are not judged by our mistakes but how or if we correct them. The dog world has ruined many breeds for the sake of ego and competiton and money.

MOST OF these dogs are NOT mine. I could post well over a 100.

DO NOT BUY A CAS UNLESS YOU WANT a SERIOUS GUARDIAN.
That may win a show, dog tricks, pass CGC, be a smooch or title in something not the normBreed

But as you can see we have more than one trick up our sleeves.

Expert LGD and ranch farm guadians. Good guardians of home and family. Good cause they are not the most social dogs to strangers without intro's

And can do tricks in just about anything but not consistant enough to market the breed outside of its realm SAFELY.

This is our last show. Dont laugh 1st Movie attempt. Im the bigger woman.the top winner was Heidi with Gandy. We took out our retired 10 YR Coz and had a ball- + Lure racing. Brindle is Gandy. Black is Ice Coz is yellow.

I'm sorry you spent so much time searching for those videos because aside from the ones showing the dogs playing around and doing little jumps and being led thru weave poles, which were fun to watch, the skill based ones were not that good.

The obedience was sloppy. The tracking didn't look like tracking to me- more like taking the dog for a walk and letting it sniff around.

Neither protection video was good-
Bobomay kept biting and releasing the sleeve with shallow bites (I thought these dogs naturally bit full and deep? Didn't see it.) He kept backing away too. My Dane bites better than that and we don't even train her for it.

The younger dog was fed the tug to get a deep bite, then when the decoy makes the swinging motion over the dogs head right before he releases it you can see the dog cringe/flinch and back away.

I was looking forward to the guarding the sheep ones but they didn't show anything of note, just a dog wandering around the flock.

100 tricks? I'm still not seeing it. Can the dogs do some things? Yes- just like most other dogs can do. I know you are proud of your breed, as we all are proud of our breeds of choice, but let it be what it is. It's not a jack of all trades dog and while once in a while one might be a CGC or TDI (which I'd be hard pressed to trust- just like my friend has a Bouvier that got a CGC but he still won't let people pet her because he doesn't trust her), they are a livestock guardian dog that has been bred for ages and ages to do that one thing, they do it well, so why try to make it something it isn't.

And I got accused of being defensive and taking it personal . You still havent answered my one and only question, that brought out your "protective" side. HOW DO YOU TAKE A DOG WITH NO PROTECTIVE INSTICTS AND TRAIN THEM TO PROTECT?

Also, I dont understand WHY you want your breed to get more publicity. You've seen what that does to breeds. Why do you want to ruin your breed?
If only I were so lucky to fall in love with a breed that most DIDNT know about.

I don't think this thread needs to get turned into the 'There's only ONE best working/JAT breed" out there. Every breed has their #1 strength with multiple facets tossed in for varying degrees of versatility.
