I always used shedding blades on shorthaired dogs. You have to be careful your not too rough though.
Anything rubber will work great, it grips and takes the dead hair with it as it goes over the coat.

Would it be possible that she's just losing some of her puppy coat? Maybe 5.5 months is too young for that... but it's only recently that she's been shedding. It's not really a huge amount either... just enough that I notice it and want it gone.

So I got a rubber curry brush and that thing is amazing haha. Juno ended up looking almost white with all the fur it pulled from her neck. =P There was a loooot of fur and I could have kept combing to get even more.. so yeah, it definitely works!

Another vote for Zoom Groom. I take Capone outside and actually use two at a time. (he tends to lean into it, he likes it so much.... using the two makes it faster and helps with balance.)

I would absolutely NOT use this indoors, unless you just really like to vaccuum.
