Default Having financial problems and need help finding new food

I have the dogs on Innova but it is getting expensive. I was at least thinking of rotating the Innova one week with a cheaper bag of food the next week. All I have in the area is Petsmart and I have a feed center that carries Diamond Naturals. I don't know how good Diamond is compared to Innova and I was worried because I think that was a company that had a poisoning issue. I have Sams club that has members Mark food but I have no idea how good that is. I also have Target and Walmart close by but I don't know if they have started carrying decent food or not.

Any suggestions will help if anyone knows of cheaper good foods let me know and I will find out if they are sold in my area. I wish I had a Costco here because I heard Kirkland is good but the closest one is in Texas so that is no good. Any ideas will really be appreciated!!!!

I might suggest blending the Innova together with a lower-quality food, and just feeding the blend. Going week to week always on a different food will probably act up their bellies a wholke lot more, but this way you're still saving the same amount of money.

If I'm not mistaken, Kirkland (what I'm currently feeding) is made by Diamond...so they should be about the same? I know the Diamond Naturals is a bit more expensive (last time I bought it was months ago but it was like $34 for a 40# bag) whereas Kirkland is $22-23 for a 40 lb bag.

I buy Diamond Naturals Chicken & Rice at Tractor Supply. It costs $26 for a 40 lb. bag. My dogs love it and are doing well on it.

Look at the ingrediants of the Diamond Naturals.(Naturals formulas only). They are really good ingrediants, and the price is very affordable. We feed the Naturals, alternating between Chicken/rice and the Lamb/rice. Our dogs do better on this food than anything else we have fed. and being that we are tight on money as well, Its nice to be able to feed a good, healthy food on a budget.

Kirkland is just Costco repackaging Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice. It's a great food for the price, though you will probably notice they poop more than they did on the Innova. That's how it worked for my dogs anyway. I had to feed this for over a year recently because of financial issues and couldn't afford the Innova anymore.

As an aside, I've recently switched to Nature's Variety Instinct and am LOVING it.

If you have a costco membership the kirkland brand is great for those on a budget.

I 2nd the mixing food together. My dogs get a 50/50 EVO/TOTW mixture.

Pay attention to what you give to your dog. I’m shocked after learning what is happening with dog food!

This shouldn’t be surprising though, because man doesn’t really care even for his own health or for the health of his children, and this is why fast food is part of most people’s menu, while this is the worst kind of food that exists in the world; it provokes various diseases in our bones and liver.

Now, think about the general commercial indifference concerning the quality of food for dogs…

You don’t need to spend more, but to pay attention to the quality. You can also save money by learning what to cook for your dog, like I did. This is the best menu.
