Dog Rescues

I was browsing through some ads on the classifieds online and I came across one that pretty much says that if they can't find their 4 year old beagle a home by the end of the week he will be dropped off at the pound.

In the ad it says "just need to get rid of him by the end of this week"
It seems like whoever has this dog does not care about where he ends up at all.

Can anyone recomend some reputable rescues in the Saint Catherines, Ontario area I can refer this person to?
