So I kinda forgot this part when I moved downstairs... pups are still getting hang of housebreaking (but really they dont have the chance to potty inside anymore).
Fence is going up soon, so I really want to start using a bell. How would it train it so they could be let out of my room, go downstairs and be let outside? Train them to ring door on outside door... and then back chain it to ringing bell in my room lets them get out to go pee outside... or would they have to ring the bell again to get outside?

I would just do it the same way you'd train a dog to ring the bell on the outside door.... teach them to ring it, then teach them that when they ring it we run excitedly outside. As long as you really praise and make it a big deal to run to the door to go outside, they should be able to get the idea.

My question is, would they know that ringing the bell upstairs we have to go alll the way downstairs... and should the bell in my room be to be let out of room, or let outside? And what if we're downstairs... that they wouldnt know to ring outside door bell to be let outside cuz they are used to ringing bell upstairs to be let outside
