Anyone know where I might be able to find affordable cat trees that are not the typical carpet-covered monstrosities you usually see?
If I had the $$$ Pi (my 18mo orange tabby boy) would be getting this tree: ![]() But since I don't, I figured I'd see if I could find some alternatives by posting here.

That thing is awesome! That being said, mine likes to sleep on carpet better so I'll stick to a carpet one (and hopefully a bigger one when we move!).

ooooh free shipping!
![]() The tree I posted is the Lotus Cat Tower - you should be able to google it. The pricing I've seen is all around $350! I ran across a neat blog with some DIY stuff while googling, too. Moderncat is the name and it has some pretty nifty premade and DIY towers, perches, etc. I think I'm going to get DH to do floating shelves instead of a tree. That is, after he's done making our bed frame and side tables .
