Today's training funny....

I have been really trying to work on some training with Wilson--that involves my daughter working with him too. Many of you know, my daughter is developmentally disabled--has some significant learning/language issues.
I am working to help Wilson learn to respond better to my daughter.

So fast forward to today....we were working on the leave it command. She and he did fabulous in a controlled situation. Session went well, so we ended it and moved on to lunch.

My daughter got up from the table to get a drink...she turns around to me, and says to me......











LEAVE IT MOMMY! Who did I train?

she just turned 17.

haha that's pretty funny... that's really cool that you're training Wilson like that with your daughter. Is she learning to give him commands, then?

yes, we are working on her articulation, while working on his respect. It's a challenge for me--lol, they both are stubborn! But she likes giving them treats--and so Wilson has decided that any food she has should be his. Hence the "leave it" command training.
