My neighbor's mom is visiting her for a couple of weeks and she brought her "King Shepherd" along. I've never heard of a King Shepherd - he looks like a very large, long haired, big boned GSD. The mom said he weighed 136lbs. and was just turning 2. Does anyone on this forum have one or ever heard of them?

It's basically a "designer label" for oversized, fluffy GSD's. There's nothing magically special about them, unless you count joint problems.

From what I understand they are GSDs that have been bred for size while their agility, utility, health and temperament have suffered in this single minded pursuit of size.

Same thing as a King Doberman. A poorly bred, way to large dog,.
