Butt scooting....allergies?

Hi- Zoe has been scooting her butt lately and spending a lot of time licking it (yuck). I thought her glands were full, but someone told me she could have allergies and I should give her a Bendryl. Anyone heard this?

I'd take her to a vet or groomer to get her anal glands expressed first and foremost. It is the most common cause of scooting. If that doesn't fix it, I'd get a urine sample to the vet. Sometimes scooting & licking the vulva can be a symptom of a urinary tract problem.
